I'm going to write this only in English, because most hispanohablantes know that these small local markets like Sawaya and Garden Farms – with fresh-made tortillas, several varieties of fresh (not aged) cheese, and butchers – are veritable treasure troves of interesting and reasonably priced ingredients. The staff and customers I've encountered are always friendly and helpful. The parking lot at this location (there's another Sawaya 2 blocks north) is sometimes full, but there's parking on Broadway or Flower Street.
